Following the conversation I had with you a few weeks ago (see https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk-at/2022-February/011442.html), we've been taking a close look at the MapRoulette challenges that we shared with you.
In relation to the "Polygon is not closed" challenge<https://maproulette.org/browse/challenges/25102>, some of you expressed concerns about the combination of leisure=pitch + natural=cliff. We believe these cases need to be logged as issues because this is an impossible combination (a polygon should be captured in the case of leisure=pitch, but a line should be captured in the case of natural=cliff).
If you think these cases should not be logged however, we are happy to fix this and would welcome documentation or examples to help us know how the cases should be mapped.
If you do not see any issues in this challenge, we are all set to start working on it.
Secondly, the Missing Roads challenge<https://maproulette.org/browse/challenges/25105> has received an update. We have filtered the data for you so the challenge now only proposes the roads that are the most important to enable routing from point A to point B. I would really appreciate it if you could take a look at the tasks and let me know whether you agree that they are valid.
If you think there's an issue in any of these challenges, let me know and we will be happy to look into improving them.
Also, let me assure you again that these challenges are not discoverable in MapRoulette-users browsing the platform will not be able to find them.
